Originally from San Francisco, CA, Bock has spent the past 7 years focusing on working with adult learners in the DC area to achieve living wage careers, generally in the IT field. Starting off in social services, he realized that getting people a decent salary was one of the strongest ways to lift them out of poverty. Since then, he’s helped employ many DC residents, earned a Nonprofit Executive Management Certificate from Georgetown University, and pursued Racial Justice training from organizations such as Showing Up For Racial Justice and People’s Institute for Survival and Beyond. Experienced in Career Readiness, Mentorship Programs, and Retention Tracking, he is excited to bring his skills to Merit America and learn from the team.
Bock has earned a degree of Biological Sciences from the University of the Pacific, and he hopes to pursue a Masters in Social Work in the near future.
