Shannon “Melissa” Scriven

Shannon has a great love for her hometown, Miami, FL but currently resides in Austin, TX, with her loveable Goldendoodle. Shannon graduated from Florida International University with her BA in psychology (GO PANTHERS!) and is pursuing her master’s degree in occupational therapy. Before joining Merit, Shannon worked alongside technology, manufacturing, and skilled trades industry leaders to bring career awareness to at-risk youth, develop work-based learning opportunities, and raise awareness of diversity & inclusion in the workplace.

Shannon is passionate about serving her community while supporting and advocating for positive mental health strategies and sustainable quality of life. Shannon believes that everyone has the power to succeed with the right support system and access to knowledgeable resources. In Shannon’s free time, she enjoys traveling, planning parties, and writing short stories!
