Denisha joins Merit America after serving students as an Assistant Dean at UNC Greensboro in North Carolina. Prior to this, Denisha served in a leadership role overseeing a grant-funded access and retention cohort-based program for a diverse group of students entering college. Denisha is also a trained Social Worker and previously served students in K-12, eliminating barriers to success. Her passion to support students has offered her amazing opportunities, including the opportunity to train teachers in Jamaica! Denisha spends her free time writing, going for walks in the park, thrift shopping, and sending her husband funny TikTok videos. Denisha is a proud first-generation graduate and she is excited to join Merit America in its mission to connect talented learners to in-demand career paths!
