California Forever and Merit America
Merit America provides a scalable pathway for workers to ascend to the middle class through merit, not money. We offer you the opportunity to earn an industry-recognized credential from our partner, Google, in as little as 14 weeks—all without leaving your current job and with no upfront costs.
With the generous support of the California Forever grant, Merit America will recruit and train Solano County residents for careers in IT Support and Data Analytics. Thanks to this grant, the majority of the program costs will be covered, meaning Solano residents will only need to pay $2,000—which can be covered with no upfront cost. Our fast, flexible programs are designed specifically for working adults. We begin by analyzing millions of job postings to identify high-demand, high-paying tech careers. Then, we provide part-time training for these roles. Our programs combine flexible online learning with best-in-class coaching.
Additionally, we collaborate with a wide range of local and national employers, such as JPMorgan Chase and Infosys, to help our learners secure higher-earning, sustainable careers. Our alumni experience a national average wage increase of $24,000 three or more months after completing the program.

Work Life Balance
Your third-party coursework and Merit America career coaching services are online. Live meetings are only 3-5 hours per week. You can complete the coursework in-between work shifts, on weekends – whatever works for your life.
