Bekah Thompson is a Program Success Manager and Career Coach at Merit America.
With 7 years of education and case management services, Bekah came to Merit America as a former Student Success Coach at an online university coaching students to completion of their degree and served at a local nonprofit assisting homeless families into stable housing, working to help address barriers to employment, food insecurity, transportation, and childcare. During her time in human services, Bekah witnessed first-hand the inequities and racial disparities that impacted homeless families and is a strong advocate for systematic change. Passionate about education and mission driven work that provides resources and a pathway towards upwards mobility, Bekah is enthusiastic about the success and ongoing vision outlined at Merit America.
Bekah earned her B.A. In Psychology from Arizona State University and her Certified Professional Résumé Writer Certification through PARWCC. Bekah brings an empathy and curiosity to her relationship building with learners and is a self-described “people detective”.
Born and raised in the desert, she resides in the suburbs of Phoenix, AZ with her husband and son. Outside of work, she enjoys road trips with her family and friends to visit America’s National Parks, watching her son play sports, visiting new quirky restaurants, and cooking.
