Ericus Adams
Manager, Learner Support & Readiness
Ericus is the Admissions Operations Associate and an IT Support Program Alumni at Merit America. She joins Merit America with over 16 years in workforce development, education, and counseling. Before joining Merit America, she served as a governor appointed board member for the Connecticut Commission on Community Service, simultaneously, Ericus also served as an AmeriCorps National Service Program Manager and has worked alongside government leaders, including the Mayor and Governor of Hartford, CT, to develop and expand workforce development programing for underserved communities through second-chance initiatives.
Her passion for helping others, led her to also manage disaster relief programs in the Houston, TX and Baton Rouge, LA area where she coordinated home restoration and community revitalization projects for over 1200 families affected by Hurricane Harvey. Her work in Houston expanded to also serve as a workforce development coordinator during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic as she provided career and wraparound services to over 400 men, women, and children plagued with homelessness. Ericus firmly believes that all human beings should use whatever gift he or she has to serve others.
