Jacob was born and raised in the mitten state of Michigan (brr). Jacob graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Throughout college, Jacob took particular interest in advocating for and mentoring others. Eventually, this led Jacob to pursue a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration at The George Washington University. Prior to Merit America, Jacob had 5 years of experience working in Residence Education.

Over the past 5 years, Jacob has worked with thousands of learners on achieving their goals. Throughout those years, Jacob guided learners through envisioning a career path that worked best for them. Jacob is one of Merit America’s Job Success Specialists and is eager to help learners thrive.

During Jacob’s free time, he enjoys hanging out with his two french bulldogs, Theodore and Benjamin.

One of my best learning experiences comes from my first college job. I was a Resident Assistant for two years and learned a lot in a short amount of time about peer support. I attribute my professional trajectory to that job and am passionate about the growth and development of others.
