Krysta, a native Iowan, traded the cold winters of Iowa for the perpetual summer of Orlando, Florida.
Their career has spanned various business sectors, including legal, higher education, and non-profit. Krysta’s love for people and passionate personality brought them back to the non-profit sector, where they aim to make a significant impact on the lives of learners at Merit America. At Merit America, Krysta works directly with learners, guiding and supporting them on their journey to new careers and helping them achieve their professional goals. They also collaborate closely with Merit America staff to develop and implement effective programs that enhance the learner experience.
In their free time, they enjoy participating in a local kickball league, reading, traveling, and spending time outdoors.

Travel opened up the world beyond the small Iowa town I grew up in, teaching me to step out of my comfort zone and experience life in new and exciting ways. Developing compassion for the experiences of others has been the most rewarding result of my travels.”
