Marcia Rose Fuoss
Learner Support Associate
Throughout her 40+ year career in in education, community engagement, and career development,
Marcia has focused on empowering people with relevant information, strengths-based coaching, and
supportive resources to achieve economic mobility and stability. Working as an ally with people of
diverse backgrounds, she’s seen first-hand how individual disabilities and systemic barriers add
challenges and has done ongoing research to learn how to address them in creative and sustainable
ways. Thus, working at Merit America and helping to facilitate social and economic mobility for
people underrepresented in tech fields became her final career goal.
To enhance her professional knowledge and coaching skills, Marcia earned Certified Professional
Career Coach and Certified Professional Resume Writer certifications from the Professional
Association of Resume Writers and Career Coaches (PARWCC) and a certificate from the
Montgomery College Tapestry Institute for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. She also completed
certified training to become a Federal Career Strategist and 5 Steps to Rapid Employment Boot
Camp Instructor. She serves as a community volunteer on the techfrederick Diversity Task Force.
Marcia earned her BS Elementary Education from Penn State, MA Counselor Education from
Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and MDiv from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington,
DC.
