Morgan Atkins

Morgan’s passion is learner-centered education and helping others gain the confidence and skills to thrive in their personal and professional lives. Morgan started her career working at a charter school in the city of Rochester, NY, driven by creating high quality education opportunities for all students, no matter the zip code. She then pivoted to a Jewish Day School, where she took on a department head role, leading a team of teachers in student-centered curriculum development and leading mindfulness initiatives across the school. There, she developed a passion for creating spaces centered around social-emotional learning and overall wellness and growth for both students and teachers. After receiving personalized instructional coaching through BetterLesson, she then left the traditional classroom environment and joined BetterLesson to facilitate workshops and coach teachers and leaders across the country in student-centered practices. While working at Merit America, she hopes to empower learners to follow their passions, believe in themselves, and take the steps necessary to reach their goals and obtain their desired career change. In her free time, you can find her walking and running in nature, practicing yoga, rock climbing, horseback riding, skiing, exploring new towns and cities, writing, reading, cooking, and baking.
