Mona Johnson

Mona relates easily with Merit America learners because she made a few career changes of her own! She first started her professional career in mental health research, took a few years off from full-time work to raise her son, and then made a transition into college instruction and later disability counseling. In all of her previous roles, Mona coached others on their resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and interview preparation. She formalized her excitement for career development in 2017 by earning three certificates and serving nonprofit clients, pro bono, at Dress for Success. Mona joins Merit America from Flatiron School where she helped certificate graduates launch successful careers in software engineering, IT support, and data science.
