Albert Perera

Albert was born and raised in Miami, FL as the oldest of three brothers to Cuban immigrant parents.
He joins Merit America with experience in technical recruiting at Slack and Uber, as well as various functions in higher education such as orientation program management, employee onboarding and training, and leadership development at several institutions including UNC-Chapel Hill and Florida International University.
Throughout his career, Albert has helped hundreds of people achieve their personal and professional goals by serving as a loyal cheerleader, a fierce advocate, and a developmental coach. He finds great joy and purpose in empowering others to recognize their strengths, build confidence in their skills, and realize their fullest potential in pursuit of their dreams.
In addition to earning a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Florida and an M.A. in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University, Albert is a lifelong learner who continuously strives to grow from new experiences by spending time in his “stretch zone” and encourages others to do the same.
In his spare time, he enjoys working out and weightlifting, playing video games, salsa dancing, and spending quality time with his partner and two rescue dogs, Brodie and Malakai.
