Ally Solomon

Ally has a passion to make the world a better place, and she loves nothing more than to help the next person. Prior to working with Merit America, she managed grassroots organizing projects and mobilized communities to make impacts on state and national policies, and magnified disenfranchised groups. She has worked for environmental, social justice, LGBTQ+, healthcare, and political campaigns all across the country. She has also volunteered in centers for at-risk women and led groups for people with addictions. She believes that change starts on the ground, and works its way up, and her inspirations come from hearing other people’s stories.

Wanting to explore her personal passions more, Ally applied to Merit America’s IT Support Specialist program, and graduated. She wanted to combine her advocacy and technical skills, and was hired as a Communications and Operations Associate. Her mission here is to inspire, educate, and empower.

You can typically find Ally with her nose in a book, drinking tea, and hanging out with her dog, Dany. She also enjoys video games, music, fantasy worlds, anime, learning, and walking through nature. She currently lives in Detroit, Michigan.
