D’Angelo Johnson
Program Success Coach
D’angelo is a Program Success Manager and Career Coach at Merit America. He brings a passion and dedication to career transition and personal development. Prior to Merit America, D’angelo worked in higher education where he focused on college access, career transition, and career coaching for both traditional and non-traditional students. As a first generation graduate, D’angelo is deeply invested in the personal development of every individual he encounters in his career. D’angelo knows that Merit America not only has a great mission, but knows that the company and his role align perfectly with his ideals as a career-transition professional and community leader.
Outside of work, D’angelo is heavily involved in his community. D’angelo is a community servant and leader as a member of his fraternity, as well as a member of a mentoring organization for students of color and low-income backgrounds. D’angelo has been a community servant and leader since his first year in college, and he believes that giving back to the community is necessary as his mentors instilled the same values into him.
While not working with Merit or serving his community, D’angelo enjoys socializing with his friends and colleagues, being an avid fan of professional wrestling, and staying up to date with the latest superhero movies and shows that are being produced. D’angelo is born and raised from Pensacola, Florida. He earned his B.A in Psychology at the University of West Florida in his hometown, and earned his M.S. in Education Administration at Florida International University in Miami, FL. He also holds a certificate in Project Management.
