Kourtney Reynolds
Associate Director of Admissions
Kourtney is the Associate Director of Admissions at Merit America. She is passionate about cultivating leadership and providing access to quality experiences for all learners.
Kourtney affectionately calls both Charlotte, NC, and Baltimore, MD, home. She is a servant leader at heart and true creative, living by the philosophy that “Anything is Possible” with a little discipline and a splash of creativity. Prior to joining Merit America she spent 12 years in Education and Student Programming and carries an unwavering dedication to creating lifelong learners and service to all mankind.
Kourtney believes that Excellence is always the goal because Perfection is a limiting construct. She’s incredibly proud of the high-quality summer program, POP CDF Freedom Schools, she co-founded in 2016, which combines literacy, leadership, and athletics for students K-12, a true labor of love.
Kourtney holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies from UNC-Greensboro with a concentration in adolescent development and a Master of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins University.
Outside of work, Kourtney does some event planning and personalized crafting through the KDani Kreative, LLC. She has been a Competitive cheerleading Coach for 9 years and enjoys traveling, a hot day at the pool or spa, just about anything DIY, having a good Netflix binge, and spending time with her loved ones.
