Sophia Hain

Sophia joined the Talent Acquisition team at Merit America as a founding Candidate Experience Specialist. She brings professional experiences spanning the nonprofit, corporate, startup, and academic sectors, with her most recent role being a Talent Acquisition Manager in the social impact sector where she predominantly sourced and recruited for tech functions. She has supported career changers and job seekers through a holistic, people-oriented lens, especially having made career and industry pivots herself, all while finding ways to optimize operations as an organization scales and champion data-driven strategies to enhance candidates’ experiences. Born and raised in Southern California, Sophia is a proud product of an immigrant family, first-generation college student and working professional, woman of color, and AANHPI community advocate. She earned her bachelor’s degree from California State University, Northridge, and her master’s degree in Education Policy, Organization Leadership with a core focus on Diversity and Equity in Education from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
